First 75024 HH-87 Starhopper Image

A German site called Eggersmann Modellautos has posted the first image of the new 75024 HH-87 Starhopper set. Despite the highly pixelated image, I love the color scheme! I don't think there's been a set with a lime green scheme besides the Republic Gunship. Take a look!

Careless LEGO- Admiral Ackmar and C3-PO

LEGO messed up big-time on this fairly old 2009 magnet set! Not only have they spelled the good Admiral's name wrong, they miss hyphenated poor C-3PO. Their solution was fairly ingenious, but it was somewhat tedious to impliment. They issued a large, awkward sticker that seems nearly impossible to apply (at least correctly). It's hard to believe that LEGO would be so careless, and I'd like to know how this huge mistake could have reached all the way to the stores. It kind of reminds me of the phrase "I just work here".

All Magnet 'figs Glued as of January 2011

Quoted from the LEGO ambassadors "All Extended Line minifigure magnet sets will ,as of Jan 1st 2011, be glued. Based on new requirements, the magnet base and the minifigures will have to be permanently fixed together on LEGO Star Wars magnet sets. To ensure a consistent consumer experience across all LEGO minifigure magnet sets we have chosen to permanently fix the minifigure to the magnet base on all magnet sets moving forward from Jan 1st 2011. This decision has been carefully considered and was not taken easily as we know that many consumers will obviously not like this change."

New Style Magnet Minifigs

LEGO has taken a new path with the magnetic minifigs. They have started to sell them individually in blister packs. It seems that the minifigs do have a very strong magnet attached to the inside of the back, and I don't think they'll fall easily- unlike the brick magnets. They must have strong confidence in these because there are already somewhere between 20-30 different ones exclusively available. I think they look much nicer than the old, bulky, bent forward brick versions. I suspect they will be in stores everywhere soon!

"The Yoda Chronicles" Premiere

LEGO Star Wars returns in epic style with The Yoda Chronicles, a thrilling, funny and action-packed new LEGO Star Wars story told in three animated TV specials, which will premiere on Cartoon Network on May 29! Set in the “Prequel” Star Wars timeline, The Yoda Chronicles stars the one and only Yoda, the Jedi Master who has seen it all, done it all, and taught generations of Jedi Knights, in an all-new adventure.

Count Dooku has hatched a sinister scheme to use a Kaiburr crystal to create an army of evil warriors with enhanced Force powers. The wise Jedi Master Yoda has hidden the crystal away in a secret location, but as his former apprentice, Count Dooku knows exactly where to find it.
When the Kaiburr crystal is stolen, it’s up to Yoda, along with some old friends and new allies, to get it back before it’s too late. But who is the mysterious Jek-14… and what role will he play in the fate of the galaxy?
